De-Mystifying Competitive Swimming

Club Competition

SOPAC Swim Club runs approximately 1 club night per month depending on the availability of the pool. During summer season club meets will be long course (50m) and in winter the pool will be set as short course (25m). The focus of club nights is race practice, participation and building community. Club nights are fully officiated so are a great opportunity to gain qualifying times. Club point score is awarded for personal best times and trophies are presented for each age group at presentation night each year. Club night programs will be set by the coaches and made available on the website and via Team App. Entries for club nights can be made through Swim Central, in the same way as other meets. Club nights are run by volunteers, so parent assistance is rostered and compulsory.
